Sensory Friendly Santa Sessions

This November 16-18th I will be offering Sensory Friendly Santa Sessions. I've been wanting to do this for two years but due to uncontrollable circumstances it hasn't been possible. This is the year! I have a heart to see families who can't normally get fun memories of their kids with Santa due to the lines, noise, crowds, pressure, etc. get that experience. So what does that look like?

First of all, the sessions will be in my home studio. Hopefully the idea of going into someone's house takes away some of the anxiety of going into a big building. There won't be any lines (though you may have to wait a few minutes as we finish the previous session), and your family will be the only one in the room. There will be soft music playing and while there will be lights set up, there won't be any flash.

Santa and Mrs. Claus have had some training on how to let the kids come to them and initiate contact. The child will determine their level of comfort of interaction and with 20-25 minutes of time for your session, they will have more time to warm up. The Clauses will be prepared to read a book, play with toys, or just interact in the background as your child plays in the foreground. You will have the opportunity to give input and feedback on your child's individual needs through a questionnaire before the session.

Unfortunately my home is not officially wheelchair accessible but the studio is right by the front door and there are only two small (around 2 inch) steps to pass if there is a need.

Subscribers to the newsletter get first access so subscribe now on the website homepage. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I hope I get the chance to work with you!
